Social Media Drive-in Workshop

Harnessing the benefits of social media enables colleges and universities to connect with the public in the same manner as major global brands. Managing the pitfalls can present special challenges in higher education because of the evolving nature of platforms and the budget required for proper evaluation. Join your colleagues from independent colleges across Ohio as we explore the opportunities and potential threats of social media.

This session will prepare attendees to develop a new strategic approach to social media or refine an existing strategy to help ensure that your efforts have measurable purpose. We’ll discuss which tools might work best for your needs (from education to fundraising to event attendance and more) as well as how to manage social media efficiently -- instead of letting it manage you.

Registration is $30 per person. Registration for a group of 3 or more from one campus is only $25 per person.

Director and Lecturer
Digital Marketing Clinic at Baldwin Wallace University 

Tim Marshall has significant experience in leading both the strategy and execution of digital and traditional marketing communications efforts for organizations across a wide variety of industries, including higher education, healthcare and philanthropy. His areas of focus are social media, content marketing, brand strategy and integrated marketing communications. As director of the Digital Marketing Clinic at Baldwin Wallace University, Marshall connects groups of talented students to local nonprofit organizations, small businesses and startups for semester-long strategy development projects. Prior to joining Baldwin Wallace University, Marshall served as chief brand strategist for an integrated marketing communications consultancy; senior digital marketing communications specialist for a regional healthcare system; and director of marketing and communications at Case Western Reserve University France Payne Bolton School of Nursing.
